ALAYAH by Aniqah: The Dhaka Edit Marks ALAYAH’s Entry Into a New City
A New City, A New Chapter
On 9 October, ALAYAH by Aniqah arrives in Dhaka for the first time. The Dhaka Edition marks the platform’s entry into a new city—and the beginning of a new chapter built around fashion discovery, thoughtful curation and the exchange of South Asian creative cultures.
For founder Aniqah, Dhaka is more than another destination on ALAYAH’s map. It represents an opportunity to introduce the city to designers and collections that are not always easily accessible here, while bringing together fashion cultures connected by shared histories, craftsmanship and heritage.
“For one day, we’re bringing that experience to you.”

The World of ALAYAH
ALAYAH began with Aniqah’s love for fashion and a desire to bring exceptional South Asian designers to a wider audience. Over time, that passion evolved into a curated platform connecting designers and clients through experiences intended to feel personal rather than purely commercial.
The brand itself carries an intimate story. ALAYAH’s identity represents Aniqah and her daughters—their connection, individuality and strength. Its intertwined panther symbol embodies femininity, elegance, independence, confidence and strength.
Those qualities have gradually become part of ALAYAH’s language: feminine yet strong, connected to heritage while continually evolving.
Above everything else is intention. The aim is not simply to bring together as many names as possible, but to ensure every designer, collection and experience earns its place within the world ALAYAH is creating.
“I want ALAYAH to feel curated and distinctive—a platform where every designer and every experience is chosen with intention.”

The Dhaka Edition
That philosophy now arrives in Bangladesh.
For its Dhaka debut, ALAYAH brings together a carefully selected mix of Pakistani and Indian designers, spanning established names, contemporary labels, occasion wear, statement pieces and more versatile designs.
But the experience is intended to go beyond shopping.
Visitors are invited to explore collections, encounter designers they may not have discovered before and experience fashion at their own pace. There is an element of unpredictability to it—the possibility of walking through the doors without a particular piece in mind and leaving with an entirely new reference for personal style.
“I want someone to walk in not quite knowing what they’re going to find and leave having discovered a designer, an outfit or even a style they absolutely love.”
That sense of discovery sits at the heart of ALAYAH. Curation becomes less about abundance and more about creating an edit where every label offers a distinct point of view.

Fashion Across Borders
ALAYAH’s entry into Dhaka also opens a wider conversation about fashion across the region.
Pakistan, India and Bangladesh each hold rich traditions of textiles, craftsmanship and design. Their fashion cultures share historical and cultural connections, yet there are still relatively few spaces where their contemporary creative communities can interact directly.
The Dhaka Edition begins to narrow that distance.
Aniqah sees the possibility of ALAYAH eventually working in both directions—introducing Pakistani and Indian designers to audiences in Bangladesh while creating opportunities for Bangladeshi designers to connect with ALAYAH’s audiences in Dubai and beyond.
“For me, it’s about building relationships, opening new markets and creating something that grows beyond a single event.”
In that sense, entering a new city is not simply about geographical expansion. It is about building new relationships around fashion.
Discovery, in Person
There is something increasingly valuable about discovering fashion physically.
In a world where collections can appear and disappear within seconds on a screen, ALAYAH creates an environment where people can slow down, encounter garments in person and understand the details that photographs do not always communicate.
“I want the experience to feel personal, beautifully curated and memorable.”
That intimacy has always been important to the platform. The intention is not simply to place different labels under one roof, but to create an experience where people have the space to look, discover and connect.
For one day, designers and collections that might otherwise require a flight to encounter become part of Dhaka’s fashion landscape.
A New City Is Only the Beginning
The Dhaka Edition marks ALAYAH’s arrival in a new city, but the ambition extends well beyond a single day.
For Aniqah, entering Dhaka is part of a larger journey—one where fashion becomes a way of connecting designers, audiences and creative communities across borders.
A new city brings a new audience. A new audience creates new discoveries. And those discoveries can become relationships that continue long after the event itself ends.
On 9 October, ALAYAH introduces its world to Dhaka.
But perhaps more importantly, Dhaka becomes part of the evolving world of ALAYAH.
